The whole solar job in one system: survey, BOQ, subsidy, commissioning, AMC.
Most solar EPC companies run the sales side in one place, the site in another, and the government paperwork in a folder on somebody’s desktop. Entrivis Solar EPC puts the full rooftop and C&I lifecycle on a single Odoo 19 Community instance.
Entrivis Solar EPC is a ready application for Odoo 19 Community, built for rooftop and commercial-and-industrial solar contractors. It covers the lifecycle end to end: solar lead with DISCOM and consumer data, site survey with GPS and orientation guidance, system design with panel and inverter selection, categorised BOQ that becomes the customer quotation, project execution with phased site deliveries, the government document pack, subsidy applications, commissioning and QC, then warranty and AMC. It installs and configures on standard Community apps. No Odoo Enterprise subscription, no per-user licence fee, and no custom development in the standard package.
One record chain from enquiry to the fourth AMC visit.
Every stage writes into the next. The survey feeds the design. The design feeds the BOQ. Confirming the BOQ creates the quotation, and confirming the order creates the project, the phased stock deliveries and the government document pack in the same action. Nothing is re-keyed, and nothing depends on somebody remembering to open a second system.
| Stage | Required | What the product does |
|---|---|---|
| Solar lead | Yes | Capacity, DISCOM, consumer number, roof type, sanctioned load, monthly bill, qualification checklist, dealer and sub-dealer. |
| Site survey | Optional | Address and GPS, suggested azimuth and tilt, sun path, roof assessment, electrical readings. Can be switched off in settings. |
| System design | Optional | Panel and inverter selection, string count, DC/AC capacity, generation and ROI, layout, SLD. Draft → Under Review → Approved. Does not block the BOQ. |
| BOQ | Yes | Categorised lines (panel, inverter, structure, cable, labour) with vendor, margin and a synced kit BoM, so the order delivers components rather than a dummy product. |
| Quotation and confirm | Yes | Creates the project, the phased deliveries and the document pack. |
| Installation | Yes | Planned → Mobilized → Civil → Mounting → Electrical → Testing → Completed, with work packages ticked on site, daily logs, safety induction and serial capture. |
| Commissioning | Yes | Pass/fail checklist, performance tests, net-meter synchronisation, customer handover with as-built and O&M manual. |
| Subsidy and net metering | As needed | Scheme master, application lifecycle, document completion, claimed / approved / disbursed tracking. |
| Warranty and O&M | As needed | Warranty type, AMC visits per year, next service date, service visits, claims. |
Built for the parts of a solar job that usually live outside the ERP.
The commercial and inventory side is standard Odoo and works the way any Odoo user expects. The value is in the four areas that solar contractors normally handle on paper: survey and design, the government document pack, subsidy, and after-sales.
Site survey and location intelligence
Address and GPS coordinates, suggested orientation from sun path, roof and structure assessment, electrical readings and DISCOM data captured once and reused on government formats later. Exports to PDF.
System design
Panel and inverter catalogue, panel count, strings, mounting type, DC and AC capacity, annual generation and ROI, structure layout and SLD documentation, with a review-and-approve workflow before anything goes into a quote.
Bill of Quantities
The commercial backbone. Categorised lines with vendor and margin, a phantom system kit and manufacturing BoM kept in sync so the sales order delivers actual components. Confirming the BOQ raises the customer quotation.
Government document pack
Created automatically when the order is confirmed. KYC, subsidy, net metering, structure certificate and commissioning categories, each line moving Ready → Submitted with the signed scan attached. Formats autofill from the customer, survey, order and project.
Subsidy schemes
Scheme masters hold authority, capacity ceiling and either a percentage or a flat amount. Applications track documents, portal number and claimed, approved and disbursed values. Scheme amounts are set to current guidelines during configuration, not hard-coded.
Warranty, AMC and O&M
Product, performance, AMC and extended cover. Visits per year drive the next service date. Service visits and claims are raised from the same record, with generation and PR captured on the visit.
Also in the product
KPI dashboard with kW pipeline · solar CRM pipeline and capacity auto-suggest · project types for residential, C&I, utility and government · milestone billing from advance through retention · security groups for user, manager, solar engineer and site supervisor · reports for BOQ, survey, commissioning, quotation and full project pack · settings for yield and PR, warranty years, quotation margin and delivery lead times.
Odoo 19 Community, with no per-user licence to pay.
Solar EPC runs on standard Community apps: CRM, Sales, Purchase, Inventory, Manufacturing, Project, Invoicing, Employees. Odoo 19 Community ships Invoicing rather than the full Enterprise Accounting app, so the books are completed with free modules from the Odoo Apps Store and Odoo’s own Indian localization. That gives you P&L, balance sheet, general ledger, trial balance, aged receivable and payable, tax reports, assets, follow-ups, bank statement import and reconciliation, and GST tax groups with GSTIN and HSN configured during setup.
| Layer | Module | Licence |
|---|---|---|
| Invoices, bills, payments | Community Invoicing | Official Odoo Community |
| Indian GST and chart of accounts | l10n_in |
Official Odoo Community |
| Full books and financial reports | Odoo Apps Store accounting kit | Free, LGPL-3 |
| Optional additional statutory reports | OCA account financial reports | Free, AGPL-3 |
| Solar lifecycle and milestone invoicing | Entrivis Solar EPC | Included in the package |
Third-party modules stay under their authors’ licences. We install and configure them, and we handle upstream defects on a reasonable-effort basis under a maintenance contract. We don’t claim authorship of somebody else’s module.
This is a new product. You’d be among the first five to run it.
What sits behind it isn’t new. Entrivis has been implementing Odoo since v6, has delivered 70+ projects and 15+ migrations, and has built ERP and field operations for a solar company before (Teravon Solar). Solar EPC is that pattern, productised, so the next solar contractor doesn’t pay for it to be designed from scratch.
The first five installs
We’re taking five founding customers, and they get terms we won’t repeat afterwards. Not a discount. The package is priced at what it costs to deliver properly, and cutting that would only change who shows up.
| What you get | Why we’re offering it |
|---|---|
| Your requests go to the front of the roadmap | For twelve months, what the founding five ask for is what we look at first. Anything we judge to belong in the product gets built at no charge to you, and everyone after you inherits it. |
| A direct line to the engineers | For the first three months you talk to the people who wrote the module, not a support queue. |
| Extended hypercare | Sixty days rather than thirty, for configuration defects in the agreed scope. |
One honest qualification on the first of those. We decide what ships. A request that fits the product gets built and gets built free; a request that’s specific to how your company works is a change request and gets quoted like one. We’ll tell you which it is, and why, rather than leaving it on a list. A product that builds everything anyone asks for stops being a product, and you’d feel that within a year.
What we ask in return is the one thing we can’t buy: permission to write up the work once it’s live and running, with your name on it. If your commercial situation doesn’t allow that, we’ll publish it without naming you (sector and region only). Either way you approve every word before it goes out.
What the standard package does not do.
This is a product being installed and configured, not a software project being written. Anything below is either a separate quote or a change request after go-live, and we’d rather you knew that before the kickoff call than during it.
- Not included
- Custom development, new report layouts, or DISCOM-portal automation.
- Not included
- WhatsApp, Meta, or website webhook connectors.
- Not included
- Odoo Enterprise applications: Studio, Payroll, native Budgets, the barcode and mobile apps, Helpdesk, Field Service, Sign, Documents, Marketing Automation, native OCR.
- Not included
- Historical accounting migration beyond a standard opening-balance load.
- Not included
- On-site training in multiple cities beyond the sessions included in the package.
If your operation needs any of those, say so early. Several of them are work we do routinely. They just aren’t in this package, and pretending otherwise makes for a bad first month.
Ten to fifteen working days, in five steps.
| Step | Working days | What you get |
|---|---|---|
| Server and Odoo 19 Community | 2 | Odoo 19 on your cloud or an Entrivis-managed instance, SSL, daily backup. |
| Install the product stack | 2 | Solar EPC, the Community apps, the accounting kit and Indian localization. |
| Company configuration | 3 | Company details, logo, users, GSTIN, chart of accounts, GST taxes, banks, warehouses. |
| Solar masters | 3 | Project types, panel and inverter products, document types, subsidy schemes, margins, delivery lead times. |
| UAT and training | 3–5 | Walkthrough on one residential and one C&I job, training sessions, go-live checklist. |
What we need from you: statutory details and GSTIN, bank accounts, your product and vendor price list (or use the bundled solar catalogue and adjust the rates), your current quotation PDF for template mapping, and the names and roles of the people who’ll use it.
After go-live there’s a hypercare window for configuration defects in the agreed scope, and an optional annual maintenance contract for bug fixes, Odoo and security updates, and module upgrades. Pricing is quoted against your instance size and user count: ask us for the package.
Before you ask.
Do I need an Odoo Enterprise subscription?
No. The product runs on Odoo 19 Community. There is no per-user Odoo licence fee, and the accounting layer is completed with free Apps Store and official localization modules.
Is this a custom build for my company?
No. It’s a finished product installed and configured on your company. Processes that aren’t already in it are estimated as a change request after go-live rather than bundled into the deployment.
Does it handle PM Surya Ghar and state subsidy schemes?
Yes. Scheme masters hold the authority, capacity ceiling and either a flat amount or a percentage, and applications track documents, portal number and the claimed, approved and disbursed amounts. Scheme values are set to the current published guidelines during configuration, so they can be updated when the guidelines change.
Does it file anything on the DISCOM portal automatically?
No. It prepares, stores and tracks the document pack and the application status. Portal submission is done by your compliance desk. Portal automation is a separate scope.
Can it run residential and C&I work in the same instance?
Yes. Project types cover residential, commercial and industrial, utility and government, and the menus are split so residential and C&I teams see their own pipelines.
Who does it in your company?
Security groups ship for sales, solar engineer, stores and purchase, site supervisor, compliance desk, accounts and management, each mapped to the screens that role actually uses.
Can I see it before committing?
Yes. We’ll run a walkthrough on the demonstration instance against one residential and one C&I job.
Bring us a real job you have already quoted, and we’ll walk it through the system end to end.
That’s a more useful hour than a feature demo. You’ll see where it fits your process and where it doesn’t. Write to hello@entrivistech.com.
