ERPNext, built by an ERP team that knows when it’s the right call.
Most businesses we meet should stay on Odoo. Some shouldn’t.
ERPNext and Odoo solve the same problem from different starting points. Odoo gives you more out of the box and a larger app marketplace. ERPNext gives you a fully open-source stack with no edition paywall and complete control of the source. The right one depends on your team, your budget, and how much you want to own.
Choose ERPNext when
- Your team wants a fully open-source stack with no per-user edition fees.
- You need to own and extend the source without an Enterprise license gate.
- Your operation is lean enough that ERPNext’s core covers most of it.
- Your developers already work in Python, or you’re on the Frappe framework.
Stay on Odoo when
- You need wide out-of-the-box breadth across many departments from day one.
- You’d rather buy from the larger app marketplace than commission custom builds.
- Specific Odoo Enterprise features are already doing real work for you.
We’re not tied to one platform, so we’re free to tell you which one actually fits. A shop that only sells Odoo will always find a reason it’s Odoo. Ask the team that will say ERPNext when ERPNext is the answer.
An ERPNext build is the same work as any ERP, on a different framework.
An ERPNext implementation starts by mapping how your business actually runs, not how the software wants it to. We configure ERPNext to those processes and build what the core doesn’t cover on the Frappe framework. We connect it to the banks, payment rails, and tools you already depend on. And we stay through the weeks after go-live, where an ERP is proven or isn’t.
It runs as a structured engagement: a paid discovery week to scope it honestly, a fixed-scope build, and managed support afterward. Same shape as our Odoo work, because the discipline doesn’t change with the platform. See how engagements run →
The hard part of an ERP isn’t the platform. It’s everything around it.
Requirements, process design, data migration, integration, and governance are where ERP projects succeed or fail, and none of them are platform-specific. Our founders bring fourteen years of ERP implementation experience, built across every Odoo version from v6 to v19. That discipline is what we bring to ERPNext, with the Frappe platform depth now in-house alongside it.
We’re straight about where we are. Our ERPNext platform expertise is newer than our Odoo depth. What isn’t newer is knowing how to make an ERP hold once real operations run on it. And we’ve now done ERPNext in production, for a Nordic client.
We’ve run this in production, not just in a pitch.
A recent ERPNext implementation for a Nordic client.
We implemented ERPNext for a Nordic business now running on it day to day. The client isn’t cleared to name yet, and the full case study follows once it is.
Still deciding? Two next steps, depending on where you are.

Moving off another ERP
Whether the destination is ERPNext or Odoo, that’s a migration, and it has its own discipline.
Do you recommend ERPNext or Odoo?
Neither by default. We look at your processes, budget, and how much of the stack you want to own, then recommend the one that fits. Most of the time that’s Odoo. Sometimes it’s ERPNext, and we’ll tell you plainly when it is.
Isn’t ERPNext free?
The software is open-source with no license fee, which is a real advantage. The implementation, hosting, integration, and support are the actual cost of any ERP, and they’re the same work on either platform. “Free software” and “free ERP” are different sentences.
Can you migrate us from Odoo to ERPNext, or the other way?
Yes, in both directions. That’s a cross-platform migration with its own risks around data, custom logic, and integrations. It’s handled on our ERP Migration page.
Why would an Odoo consultancy implement ERPNext at all?
Because forcing every client onto the platform we happen to know best isn’t consulting, it’s selling. The ERP engineering that decides whether a project holds is the same on both. Offering ERPNext lets us give you the honest answer instead of the convenient one.
Not sure whether ERPNext is even the right question?
Start with a call. We’ll look at how your operation runs, tell you honestly whether ERPNext, Odoo, or something else fits, and give you a scoped plan before you commit to anything.
